What is the latest good TV series you have watched?

Yes, I bribed and cheated to get this far
Twisted Metal

A series to not take too seriously. Think of it like Transporter but with a more apocalyptic and comedy feel to it. This is based of a comic book and game i believe which i've not followed so have no foundation on what to expect. Series has good cast such as Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz aka Rosa from Brooklyn Nine Nine, Samoa Joe and my fave Saturday Night Live member Chloe Fineman. The stuff is ridicioulous but as i said if you don't take it too seriously and go beyond that, you will enjoy all 10 eps. Series is renewed for another season.

Rebus

Another cop show which i feel BBC seem to do alot of and do very well on. I'm not complaining. This is a Scottish based and follows from the novels where it has been modernised to the modern day. The bad guys in the show is very colourful where you sometimes forget they are bad guys.

The Gathering

A great drama from the makers of Line of Duty who portrays from a female teenagers POV where trouble occurs from a rave. All the characters play roles very well and just shows there isn't really one good or bad characters in the show, but with alot of grey.

I've been watching Hill Street Blues the last few months. So far ahead of its time it's unreal, every episode is just so good. One of the greatest TV shows of all time.

A Small Light

A fact based drama about someone who hid Anne Frank and her family during the Nazi occupation in Amsterdam. The drama is not about Anne herself, but the people around her which are very well developed and portrayed throughout the series.

Knuckles

A nice mini series based on a beloved video game character. Despite the title, the show seems to be more about his friend Wade than Knuckles himself like his origins etc. The CGI, action sequences are a joy to watch, but the plot could have been alot more than it was shown.

I'm in the same boat. I've never seen an episode. I see ads for it, but I think there's too much to catch up on at this point. I mean, that's 4 series, 662 episodes across 33 seasons.

Although I see you are able to binge like a boss, so if anyone can do it, it's you :)

I won't say i binge like a boss cause theres other shows i am still watching to this day. I think it's more i tend to watch alot of shows in one go, waiting weekly to watch them on tv or on a streaming service for most of the shows, rather than binging a series in 1 day. Not enough time and add on the fact got work, love my sports, wrestling and maintaining a relationship. Like 10 different shows to watch and i watch maybe 1 or 2 eps of that show per day or week.

Franchise shows like this with crossovers are very binge-unfriendly. You can't just watch every ep in a series or even a season, because either the crossovers won't make sense, or they will reveal a plotline. So for any season with a crossover (and there are lots in Chicago), you would have to simultaneously watch the series not just by seasons, but by episode as well.

I remember this dilemma since I only watched The Flash, but never really watched Arrow. Then I tried to get into LoT and Supergirl, but then it became a little too much.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as of now, that's 34,920 hours, or 1,455 days straight, if you were to watch for 24/day with no breaks. And that's not counting the new episodes that come out while you're watching.
Good luck on that.

I like how this is basically a movie for Sonic fans. They even got Edris to voice. I wouldn't mind if more movies followed suit when doing spinoffs.

It's a good show, a bit silly as it felt more about the guy bit comedy viewing. Should do one of sonic

They probably are going to have Sonic 3, so I don't see them doing a series unless the movie is cancelled. They could try one for Tails though.

The Deuce

The Wire alum David Simon brought us this look at the early days of "established" pornography...from the seedy streets of Times Square to the advent of VHS. It's realistic, gritty, and not for Quakers. I've had it on EHD for years and only now decided to watch it. Glad I did. Like The Wire, it'll take a few episodes before you grok it, but then you're hooked.

Chicago Fire

As i like watching cop shows, i found this as a recommend to watch. I say the show is like Fire Country, but it is so better. You get to see character development from all the characters on and off the job, and shows how stressful this job can be. This is another production by Wolf who is known to make good shows like FBI and Law and Order. This is the 1st series of the Chicago franchise, before the PD version came out. You can get various emotions on this series.

The Sympathizer

Based on a novel, however it is based in USA. The series is well made that it could just be made into a film with its diverse characters and the fear of a character dying jst before you get heavily invested in them. You just don't know what to expect

FBI Most Wanted

Part of the FBI universe, this is the 2nd show to come out. This is different to the other show, not in a bad way just different. I feel most wanted has more violence and darker stories than the FBI counterpart as they track criminals on the most wanted list and are known to be well known criminals.

Clipped on FX

Fishburne and O'Neill are top notch in this bioseries about the fall of L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling. In the vein of Winning Time---but less amusing---Clipped tells the story of a, shall we say, whimsical basketball mogul, and his trip downward. Laurence Fishburne is tight as newly-hired coach Doc Rivers, a guy stuck between a rock and a hard place. Cleopatra Coleman is effective as Viv Stiviano, the woman who blew the whistle on Donald. O'Neill plays Sterling with an energetic and ironic flair. Recommended. B

Alaska Daily

Hilary Swank plays her role as a journalist making a new start in Alaska. All the characters aswell as her are engaging and there is good development in all of them. The scenery and writing is on point. It's just a shame the series doesn't carry on after season 1.

Awkwafina is Nora From Queens

If you're a fan of Awkwafina, you will love this sitcom that is focused on her as the main character as Nora. Her, her Grandma in the show and Bowen Yang (known from SNL) steal the show as they are all funny. It's good series with tons of aww moments, laugh out loud moments too. Also it's a good series where the focus is on a American Asian character as the main lead. Eps are not that long as 20 mins so you can easily binge watch the eps. Each is very addictive as you just want to watch the next.

Lost Boys and Fairies

Comedy spin on how it feels to be queer and adopting a child and it's difficulties it brings up. I feel the issues were displayed perfectly but in a comedy manner.

Extraordinary

A great British comedy which has been getting international acclaim. It has alot of great comedy moments and toilet humour which may offend some. Show is about someone who doesn't seem to have super powers, yet all the other characters around her does. It has a good merge like how Sex Education and Derry Girls brings but adding on the goofiness.

Silicon Valley

Series is funnier than i thought it would be. Stars Kumali Nanjiani who has appeared in alot of Hollywood films especially comedies. I say this show is similar to the IT crowd but Americanised as this is heavily focused on a struggles of an engineer trying to make it big. There is a wider range of diverse cast in this show which can be a good thing

Hightown on Starz

Monica Raymund (Chicago Fire) stars as Jackie Quinones, a Cape Cod Department Of Fisheries cop who stumbles on a floater in the bay, leading her down a rabbit hole of addiction, drug dealers, and betrayal. James Badge Dale (The Pacific) is frantically explosive as state cop Ray Abruzzo...a guy who means well, but is prone to letting his dick do the talking. And we're not just talking dicks here. Quinones is a hardcore lesbian who falls hard for every chick she gets into her nest, then goes out and gets blasted when it ends. This is a show that has no heroes...like The Sopranos, only more depressing. It's a study in the weaknesses, volatility and unreliability of people...people of all types. There's no one to like. Not really. It's intense, well-acted and often cringingly honest. I like it. But, damn. I swear, I have to watch an episode of Little House On The Prairie just to come down from this. Strap yourselves in, people. You're in for a bumpy ride. B-
